CORRI LA VITA
CORRI LA VITA helps women affected by breast cancer and supports projects focused on its prevention, early diagnosis and treatment.
Founded in 2003 on the initiative of its president, Bona Frescobaldi, and organized by Associazione CORRI LA VITA Onlus, the non-competitive sporting event has raised and distributed more than €11.2 million over its previous 24 editions, bringing together more than 624,000 participants and helping provide quality care to more than 600,000 women.
More specifically, over the past five years, around 300,000 patients treated at Italian breast care centres have benefited from Senonetwork’s activities. Some 4,000 professionals working at these centres, including doctors and other healthcare staff, have also benefited from its initiatives.
In addition, the equipment donated to the Breast Imaging Unit at Careggi has been used to perform nearly 200,000 mammograms, galactograms and X-rays since 2011. At Ce.Ri.On. – ISPRO-Lilt Oncology Rehabilitation Centre, located at Villa delle Rose – thanks to CORRI LA VITA, more than 9,000 patients have received care and around 120,000 rehabilitation services have been provided since 2005.
