CORRI LA VITA
27 September 2026
24th edition
DEPARTURE from Viale Lincoln (Parco delle Cascine)
ARRIVAL at Piazza della Signoria
FLORENCE
Florence renews its commitment to the event that brings together sport, culture, and solidarity in support of the fight against breast cancer
An event organized by CORRI LA VITA ETS that, over the years, has continuously strengthened its commitment to prevention, early diagnosis, psycho-oncology, and rehabilitation, helping to fund projects and services dedicated to women and to improving quality of life. It represents a virtuous model of participation and solidarity that places people at its center and looks toward the future of research and healthcare.
This year, the race route is longer and even more engaging, starting from Parco delle Cascine on Viale Lincoln and finishing in Piazza della Signoria. A sea of people—more than 40,000 participants in the 2025 edition—will fill the streets of Florence, coloring them cyclamen pink, the official color chosen for this year’s event. Participants will wear the official CORRI LA VITA 2026 T-shirts designed by Ferragamo, a longstanding partner that has always supported the Association.
“Giving is participating” is the motto that accompanies CORRI LA VITA. Taking part means running or walking together on the day of the event, but also providing tangible support for the Association’s projects through a donation in exchange for the official T-shirt. It is a simple gesture that every year involves tens of thousands of people from all over Italy, drawn not only by the race itself but also by the opportunity to experience Florence and its extraordinary cultural heritage through the many cultural sites opened free of charge for the occasion, in collaboration with Città Nascosta. This year, new venues have been added, reserved exclusively for T-shirt holders.
The T-shirt and Registrations (from September 1)
Starting from September 1, it will be possible to secure one of the cyclamen-pink Ferragamo T-shirts at numerous distribution points throughout the city of Florence.
For those who wish to support the CORRI LA VITA project but are unable to visit one of the distribution points, the official T-shirt—while supplies last—will be delivered free of charge anywhere in Italy thanks to an agreement with BRT and BoxOffice Toscana. To receive it, supporters simply need to make a minimum donation of €10, in addition to any processing fees, directly through the website.
To take part in the event, participants must register on the website starting from September 1, make a minimum donation of €10, and collect the official T-shirt either online or at one of the designated distribution points.
THE ROUTES AND CULTURAL DESTINATIONS
As is tradition, the official CORRI LA VITA T-shirt becomes a pass granting free access to numerous art and cultural venues. Alongside the destinations that have long been favorites with the public, the 24th edition is enriched by a series of special openings that offer the opportunity to discover places that are often little known or not normally accessible.
Among the 2026 highlights are the exhibition “BROKEN. The Power of the Fragment” at Palazzo Strozzi, the Museum of Restoration with the Chapel of Palazzo Ridolfi, the Accademia delle Arti del Disegno, the Museo della Misericordia, the Accademia dei Georgofili, the “Open” exhibition in the restored spaces of Palazzo Buontalenti, and the Impianto di Potabilizzazione dell’Anconella, the true heart of Florence’s water supply system.
There will also be out-of-town destinations expanding the perspective beyond Florence and highlighting the wider metropolitan area: from the Centro per l’Arte Contemporanea Luigi Pecci in Prato to the Museo della Paglia in Signa, in a journey that brings together art, history, and local traditions.
THE COMMUNICATION CAMPAIGN AND THE AMBASSADORS
The 2026 communication campaign, created by Chinese artist Chiara Xie, features the iconic Basilica of Santa Maria Novella as its central subject. Reinterpreted through a contemporary lens, the church is transformed into a figure wearing the event’s official T-shirt, creating a striking visual symbol that connects Florence’s artistic heritage with the spirit of the event.
Among the first supporters to join the initiative in 2026 are actors Luca Argentero and Jonathan Canini; dancer and choreographer Giuseppe Giofrè; actresses Daniela Morozzi, Gaia Nanni, and Celeste Casciaro; director Edoardo Winspeare; journalists Corrado Formigli, Luca Sommi, Linda Giannttasio, and Elena Mannucci; chef Luisanna Messeri; pianists Giuseppina Torre and Martina Meola; the Coro Femina; volleyball player Stella Nervini; and Ofelia Passaponti, crowned Miss Italia 2024.
THE PRIZES
As every year, CORRI LA VITA will award prizes to the top three finishers in the race, in both the men’s and women’s categories.
Three additional awards will be presented to the “Largest Groups”, made up of at least 100 participants among company employees and members of sports clubs taking part in CORRI LA VITA. It is therefore an invitation to join a unique experience aimed at supporting and sharing a solidarity project, while also turning participation into an opportunity for team building and strengthening a sense of belonging.
The Erasmus+ Cup, established by the Erasmus+ National Agency/INDIRE, will once again be awarded to the first participant from the Erasmus team—comprising students, teachers, pupils, professors, and citizens—to cross the finish line. The award has been presented for the past eight years.
Finally, there is “The Most Beautiful Photo for CORRI LA VITA,” the photography contest that rewards the image that best captures the spirit of the event. Starting on September 1, everyone is invited to create a photo inspired by CORRI LA VITA and post it on their Instagram profile using the hashtag #corrilavita2026. A jury will select the ten most representative photographs, and from these, one winning image will be chosen. The winner will receive a voucher to be spent at Ottica Fontani on photographic equipment.
THE HEALTH VILLAGE – Piazza della Repubblica
In Piazza della Repubblica, from Friday, September 25 to Sunday, September 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the Health Village will be set up, offering consultations and activities focused on the many aspects of wellness and prevention.
On Saturday and Sunday, participants will be able to undergo mammography screenings aboard the Mobile Unit donated by the Association to ISPRO, subject to prior booking. Physicians will also be available to provide consultations and personalized advice.
The popular “Health Pills” sessions will return, highlighting the importance of proper nutrition and giving visitors the opportunity to discuss healthy eating habits with nutritionists. Special attention will also be devoted to the Mediterranean diet, a heritage of culture and well-being. Carapelli Firenze will host a dedicated stand where visitors can sample oils from its premium range and purchase 750 ml bottles featuring a special CORRI LA VITA 2026 label. Proceeds from sales will be donated to the Association.
Also returning for its third consecutive year as a supporter of CORRI LA VITA is The Social Hub. Its team, led by Michele Franzoni, will organize fitness sessions including gymnastics, yogalates, flowfit, postural training, and Pilates, alongside aptitude assessments. From June through September, in preparation for the September event, the Florentine hubs will offer a variety of activities ranging from rooftop yoga and functional workouts to urban trekking experiences.
In addition, on Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27, visitors will be able to receive free melanoma screenings in Piazza della Signoria aboard the mobile clinic operated by LILT Firenze, with appointments to be booked in advance.
A COFFEE FOR CORRI LA VITA
On Thursday, October 1, International Coffee Day and the first day of Pinktober—Breast Cancer Awareness Month—the initiative “A Coffee for CORRI LA VITA” returns, supported by Ditta Artigianale and sponsored by Confesercenti and Confcommercio.
All cafés serving coffee can take part in the initiative by registering here from Thursday, June 18 until September 15, with a minimum contribution of €50, to be donated after the event.
Participating venues—recognizable by the campaign poster—will offer customers a coffee while symbolically contributing to support CORRI LA VITA ETS.
The café that makes the most generous donation will be awarded a trophy in memory of the event.
Special thanks are extended to LILT Firenze for its ongoing support and for its valuable assistance with registration activities and the organization of the event.
Heartfelt thanks also go to Firenze Marathon and its volunteers, who are present along the entire route, for their essential contribution to the safety and smooth running of the event.
A special acknowledgment is given to Città Nascosta for the cultural sites that enrich and define the walking route, offering participants the opportunity to discover the city’s historical and artistic heritage.
